Here is a close up of the tanks and anvil. the anvil took me a lot longer than I thought it would. It is actually made up of 8 separate little parts. This is a replica of a Vulcan anvil of the late 1800s. The table is made up of "cast off" I-beams, angle iron and a thick piece of grooved steel on the top. You can see the slag and welding burns where the welds were made to put it together. The smith got tired of working on a rickety table so he scrounged around for some heavy iron and made himself a table that could survive a bomb blast. That's what I would do... ;- ) |
