No Sew Curtains for your Dollhouse
by Michelle

Materials Needed:

All materials can be found at your local hobby store or Walmart.
Glue - I use Aileen's Tacky Glue. She also puts out a fabric glue
but I find the Tacky glue holds the best.
Scissors( Safety Scissors for Children)
Piece of material
wooden dowel or stir stick

Instructions:

Depending on the height & width of your windows you will need to cut your material so you have a slight bit of overlap for the length of the dowel and to make a small hem ( with glue) so the material will not fray.

I used a piece of material precut for canning. I cut it in half then with one half wrong side up.

I folded then glued down one end to the length I needed for my window size; (approximately half the size of the window height)

Turn the material right side up and fold & glue so no wrong side material is shown.  Don't worry if a small amount of wrong side material is showing as this will be hidden during the next step.

Turn material wrong side again and glue appropriate size dowel or wooden stir stick (window width plus a bit) along bottom of previously glued material as shown in picture.

Fold end back over wood and glue. Your curtain is now finished.

To attach to house you can use Mini-Hold if you want to be able to change your curtains or just run some glue along dowel & attach directly to wall above your window trim.  I chose to do this because this house will be given to my 2 grand daughters
and if it isn't glued down it'll be lost.
