Instructions for Using Patterns

The patterns can be printed two ways:

1.  If you want to print a full page right from your browser, just click on a thumbnail and it will display a full page of the particular pattern.  Click on the "file" menu in your browser and select "print."  The full page patterns are designed to use the most common printer settings.  If the page prints too large or too small, you may need to adjust your printer settings.

2.  You can write click on a single thumbnail and save the "single swatch" pattern locally on your computer.  You can then paste the image into a graphics program and "repeat" it to get the area size you want.

The quality of the print will vary depending on your printer, your printer settings, type of paper, etc.  Many of the finer designs may not print as well at lower resolutions or printer settings.  If you are using a good quality inkjet paper at a fairly high setting (such as 360 dpi) the designs should look pretty good.  Using a photo quality paper will yield a print that resembles a commercially purchased pattern but will use up a good amount of ink.
